I am a work from home Appalachian Mountain Momma who is either going thissa way or thataway, dabbling in all sorts of things at any given time. Those who know me will say I am passionate about almost everything I do and that I can do a large variety of most anything. They say I am a 'hustler' as I have so many things I do to provide for our family. I just enjoy variety and was taught how to do many practical things throughout life. I love inspiring, encouraging, and sharing God and His love with others. My husband Aaron and I own what I call a small patch. A 2.5 acre homestead/urban farm called Glory Be Mini Farm in Nashville, TN. I love being in God's nature, living off the land as much as possible, and sharing my way of life and the goodies my family and I make with others. Growing my own herbs, organic vegetables, preparing foods, having hens and other animals, making what I need from what I have, etc. comes naturally for me. Many of these things were passed down from the older generations to me. I am basically a mountain woman making my "patch" in the city more self sustaining and raising my toddler Thompson all I know. I am originally from the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia in a small trail town called Damascus that I am proud to call home. I am also a Certified Child Life Specialist and help children cope with challenging life events. I volunteer on medical missions around the world with Operation Smile when able. Outreach is important to me so I am often doing something somewhere to help others. My wonderful husband Aaron works as a Project Manager for a construction company so he has traditional hours. He is very supportive of my way of life and heritage and tells me he is now a 'mountain man' himself after being married to me hehe! When not at his full time job, he loves participating in many roles on the farm including builder, compost manager, coop designer, and more. Thanks for being part of my community. I'm excited to hear from ya'll!
